darkrun is a “dark factory” — it models structured work as ordered stations on an assembly line and runs it with AI agents, shipped as a single Rust binary.
The software factory is the first factory it ships, not the whole product: the same engine is built to drive any structured, repeatable work, with a manager that keeps every station honest.
Where we leaned in
- Built the factory engine and station model in Rust — the harness that walks agents through structured, repeatable work from raw intent to a shipped, hardened outcome.
- Web, desktop, and native macOS applications on top of the engine.
- The whole product, end to end — design, engine, and apps. Our own build.
